Here at Wooda Farm Holiday Park, your home away from home in beautiful Bude, we love to spend time galavanting on our grounds with the amazing activities and fantastic facilities we have onsite! Days Out in Bude:
1. Bude Sea Pool
One of Bude’s most iconic landmarks, the Sea Pool is a unique outdoor swimming pool that sits right on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. 2. The South West Coast Path
The South West Coast Path is a 630-mile-long walking trail that runs all the way from Minehead in Somerset to Poole in Dorset, passing through some of the UK’s most stunning coastal scenery along the way. The stretch of the path that runs along the Bude coastline is particularly beautiful and just a two-mile hike from our doors at Wooda Farm, and is a must-do for walkers of all abilities. 3. The Bude Canal
Originally built to transport sand from the beach to local farms for use as fertiliser, the Bude Canal is now a tranquil waterway that offers a unique perspective on the local landscape. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll along the towpath, hire a rowing boat, or even take a guided tour to learn about the canal’s fascinating history. Read more about Bude Canal here>
4. Surfing Lessons
Bude is known for its excellent surfing conditions, and there are a range of surf schools in the area that offer lessons for all abilities. 5. Bude Castle Heritage Centre
For a rainy day activity, why not head to the Bude Castle Heritage Centre? Once the home of eminent inventor, creator of the Bude Light (once used to illuminate the halls of Westminster) and oft-overlooked steam pioneer Sir Goldsworthy Gurney, this beachside museum is well worth a wander and a wonder on a day that lends itself to the indoors! 6. The Milky Way Adventure Park
Located just a short drive from Bude, the Milky Way Adventure Park is a family-friendly theme park with a range of attractions to suit all ages. Highlights include rollercoasters, an indoor play area, and a massive Dodgems arena. See what’s on at the Milky Way here>
7. Tintagel Castle
Famed for its connections to the legend of King Arthur, Tintagel Castle is a dramatic cliff-top fortress that is steeped in history. Visitors can explore the ruins of the castle, as well as take in the breathtaking views of the coastline from the clifftop. 8. The Big Sheep
Another family-friendly attraction full of adventure for the younger ones located near Bude, The Big Sheep is a farm park that offers a range of activities, including sheep racing, tractor rides, and giant jumping pillows, to name but a few. 9. Hartland Abbey & Gardens
Located just a short drive from Bude, Hartland Abbey & Gardens is a beautiful stately home that is open to the public during the summer months. 10. Boscastle Harbour
Located just a short drive from Bude, Boscastle Harbour is a picturesque fishing village well worth visiting. Visitors can explore the village’s narrow streets and historic buildings, as well as take a stroll along the harbour wall and enjoy some quintessentially Cornish coastal views.
