Blue is the rarest colour, comb the pebbles on Summerleaze beach, there’s treasure to be found.
4. Nature Trail
Pick up a nature trail booklet from reception and see what you can find.
5. Walk The South West Coast Path
Find deserted beaches and watch the local wildlife. Make sure you mark it on the map when you get home.
6. Go Blackberry Picking
The lanes around Wooda are bursting with blackberries. Pick up a pot and start collecting fruit to top your breakfast cereal or bake into a crumble.
7. Visit The Bug Hotel
Have you seen our giant bug hotel? Pop by and take a look to meet the latest residents to check in!
8. Pixie Hunt
A Wooda favourite. Our woodland is home to a large family of pixies. Go for a walk and see how many you can find.
9. Swim In The Sea Pool
Bude is home to a large sea pool, much safer than sea and absolutely beautiful for a dip come rain or shine.
10. Paint Pebbles & Hide Them
Paint pebbles and hide them around Wooda, Poughill and the beaches of Bude! Don’t forget to tag them.
11. Picnic On The Beach
A British summer past time! Pack the sandwiches, the Victoria sponge and a picnic blanket then head off to your favourite sandy spot to indulge in your homemade feast.
12. Run Wild In The Play Area
Drive the race car, slide down from the castle, ride the milk float or meet the farmyard friends in the soft play area.
13. Bike Ride
Bring your bikes on holiday with you and set out to explore the lanes around Wooda. There are also many safe cycling trails nearby, please ask our team at reception for direction.
14. Rockpooling
A favourite childhood activity is searching through the rock pools delving into the seaweed and fishing for crabs.
15. Make A Sand Turtle
If the sand is wet then this is even easier! Sandcastles are so overrated, it’s time to get your creative juices flowing and make a sand turtle or any other sea creature that takes your fancy.
